Just Add Ink Blog Hop - Just Add Something New

Hello and welcome to our first Just Add Ink challenge for 2019!! I must admit to being excited to be back creating amongst this very lovely and talented group of ladies again!
We always like to showcase the first challenge of the year with a Blog Hop and the team have suggested a fun theme of "Just Add....Something New" for all our projects for this week.

So we are starting off the year with a celebration of crafty goodness and inspiration and hope that you will join in the challenge with us to create your own project using something New to you. Whether that be a new stamp or die, ink or maybe a technique that you're trying out.
You can begin the blog hop here or at any of the design team members blog posts. Just click the Next button at the bottom of each team member's posts or you can start at the beginning by clicking here or on the challenge banner above.

If you are happily hopping along you will have arrived from the very lovely  Lou Kitzelman's blog and her gorgeous cacti themed creation.

For my project, I have used the new Happy Tails stamp and punch bundle paired with the Stitched Rectangle Framelits to create a pet sympathy card.

When I first saw this stamp set I must admit I did let out a little squeal of delight! It has been a long time since D is For Dog retired and we had a Lab image to use!! Sadly, this inking is in memory of one of our walking friends, a gorgeous golden girl from Guide Dogs Victoria who we've known since we used to meet her in the park with Sally Senior and this seemed a perfect image to use for her memory.

Those that know me may also notice that this is a new colour palette too. The soft colours are a change from my usual bright with white style but these soft colours seem to suit the theme here. The image is coloured using Watercolor Pencils and I did use a photo to try and get the shading as near as possible to real life. These personal touches are what really is so lovely about being able to make a card.

Thanks for stopping by today and I am sure you will have fun hopping around to all of our talented Just Add Ink team members.
Next you are off to visit the lovely Rachael and her wonderful projects which I know you will love!!
If you get lost along the way, just click on the challenge Banner at the top of any design team member's post to take you to the full list of names. Enjoy!
