It's here!!Yay!! The first week of Spring has arrived with a couple of truly gorgeous and sunny days. It is so lovely to wake up to sunshine even though it's been a little cooler today. The promise of a long hot summer ahead is sounding good - apparently this has been Melbourne's coldest Winter in 26 years so no wonder we've been complaining lol!
And we have a new challenge for you at
Just Add Ink. This week
Nikki has suggested these fantastic photos for us to use as inspiration. Our talented Team have created truly wonderful cards to inspire you this week so I hope you can take a moment to pop on over and see.
A floral sea of colour - exactly what we have to look forward to seeing in Spring and then Summer :-)
The smaller picture with it's layered beauties is what first jumped out at me and decided the stamp set I would use. What is the first thing that you see in these photos? With this challenge you can take as much as you like from them :-)
I started by water colouring the peonies in both Crushed Curry and Calypso Coral inks using an Aqua Painter on the Shimmery White Card stock. Its hard to see but the shimmer is quite gorgeous in real life. I used the same card for the top layer using So Saffron ink stamped off once to create a simple background and fill in the "sea" as per the photo.
Card stock: Calypso coral, Blackberry Bliss, Shimmery White, Gold Foil
Designer Series Paper: Moonlight Stack (Retired)
Inks: Calypso Coral, Crushed Curry, Garden Green, So Saffron, Stazon Black
Stamps: You've Got This, Tin of Cards
Accessories: Big Shot, Triple Banner Punch, Basic Rhinestones
Non Stampin Up : Stitched Fishtail Dynamics Dies (MFT)
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you can take a moment and pop on over to
Just Add Ink and see the fabulous creations the Team have made to inspire you and I look forward to seeing what you create with these photos too!
Happy stamping until next time,
Jan
