JAI #596 Add A Sketch Artistically

Hello, happy Friday to you and welcome! Time is going so quickly and it is hard to believe that we are nearly through the first 3 months of 2022 already! It's been a busy and rather stressful time in our household as we have found the need to move yet again...and hopefully this time will be the last.

It's time for a new challenge week at Just Add Ink and this week we have a fun sketch for you from Narelle! Our design team have created a really lovely array of cards to inspire you so I hope that you might like to pop on over and join us.

I used the sketch to create a feminine birthday card. Instead of piling the sketch strips on top of each other though, I spread them out in largest to smallest kind of way using strips of DSP from the very pretty Expressions of Ink DSP.

The sentiment, embossed in gold is from the Artistically Inked bundle which also is where this pretty die cut flower spray is from too. A beautiful suite perfect for feminine projects!

Thanks so much for popping by today and I hope that you can take a moment to continue over to Just Add Ink and be inspired to create your own card for this challenge. I so look forward to seeing what you create!

JAI #594 Just Add Masking Male Birthday

Hello everyone and welcome everyone! It's nearly the end of another week and it's been one where the weather has been front in centre in many States around Australia. Here in Victoria it has been a week to quietly go under the radar.

As it's Friday it's time for our new challenge at Just Add Ink and this week's challenge comes to us from Kerry. She's asking us to Just Add Masking. That may be masking off areas with a physical or liquid barrier. Our lovely design team have again created a fabulous array of projects to highlight this technique and I hope that you can pop on over and join us!

I decided to show how easy it can be to use Masking Tape to create a masked background.
Using mu Grid Paper, I lined up my card stock and used the squares and the actual width of the tape to decide on my colour panel sizes. The colours were chosen because I needed an adult male card this week.
Oh and if anyone is wondering about the candle....yes, I made that too!!

The greeting is stamped and die cut using the now retired Layering Alphabet bundle. The text shape is modern and the size is large - and raised with dimensionals it has a cool 3 D effect to it that's perfect for guy cards!

To complete my card I added a selection of silver and clear sequins to add a bit of something shiny and fresh but still masculine.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope that you are inspired to hop on over to Just Add Ink and join in this week's fun challenge! I look forward to seeing what you will create for this week's fun technique challenge!
