This week at Just Add Ink we have a gorgeous colour challenge for you chosen by Kim. Such vibrant and earthy colours - great Autumnal (or Spring-ish ) tones don't you think?
And the Team have created a fabulous variety of projects with these awesome colours so I hope you can take a moment to pop on over and be inspired :-)

And here is what I've made:
This card is for a friend preparing to have an operation this week - and not surprisingly - he is not looking forward to being out of action for a little while. These things always seem so much worse when we have to wait for them too don't they - more time to think about it which is not always helpful! So this phrase from Really Good Greetings seemed the perfect choice as a little encouragement :-) And whilst the butterfly and the touches of bling aren't too masculine (and I did hold off from scattering a few extra) ) I know his wife will appreciate them ;-)
Card stock: Old Olive, Mossy Meadow, Tangelo Twist, Baked Brown Sugar, Whisper White
Inks: Mossy Meadow, Tangelo Twist, Old Olive Blendabilities Markers
Stamps: Really Good Greetings, Starburst Sayings, Butterfly Basics, Gorgeous Grunge
Accessories: Big Shot, On Film Framelits, Starburst Framelits, Butterfly Framelits, Basic rhinestones
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have a moment to pop on over to see what the Team at Just Add Ink have created to inspire you this week and I look forward to seeing what you will make for this challenge too!
Happy stamping until next time,
Jan
Jan this card is absolutely perfect for what you designed it for! The sentiments and the style are spot on - love how your slide frame is angled that little detail adds so much! x
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Kim x
DeleteI love the little splashes in the background and it's topped of with that sweet butterfly. I'm sure your friend loved this card.
ReplyDeleteThank you Trish :-)
DeleteLove those colors. I must find time this week to play with this challenge. Your card is gorgeous Jan. Here we have a small (very small) taste of Spring.... but apparently it won't last! It's finally warming up and melting the snow, at long last, and we can see patches of grass!!! WooHoo!
ReplyDeleteThanks Louise :-) The thought of snow for weeks ( or it's been months hasn't it?) on end ....I couldn't cope at all so think you are amazing! Hope you get to enjoy some warmer and brighter days real soon! x
DeleteI hope your friend's operation went well Jan. Absolutely love that sentiment, how true it is! You've used these colours perfectly - lovely card. x

ReplyDeleteThanks so much Shona :-) Yes, went really well apparently :-)
DeleteLOL - almost finished my card and then I had this "sinking" feeling about time...... yep! linky is closed even though here it is not yet 10:00PM on Wednesday LOL - oh well I think I should have different clocks on my wall. Glad it went well for your friend.
ReplyDeleteLove the card, Jan!!! The colours, the sentiment, so appropriate & thoughtful! -Katerina
