Merry Puppies for JAI # 467

Hi everyone and welcome back :-)
It's Friday again and that means it's time for our new challenge at Just Add Ink

No photo description available.

This week Kelly has given us this fabulous Inspiration Photo to kickstart our craft projects. It may be that you are inspired by individual items in the photo, or the colours or theme. Whatever pops out at you and sparks an idea, we would love to hear about and of course, see your result 😊And don't forget to pop by the Just Add Ink blog to see all the wonderful creations the team has made to inspire you too.

I knew as soon as I saw those baubles, this was going to be a puppy Christmas card....😊These images are from an oldie but a goodie MFT set called Happy Pawlidays and he (as girls wouldn't be that naughty would they?) has just pulled over the Pine branch inspired Christmas tree!!

One of the Nested Label dies forms the frame and the sentiment is created using the Layering Alphabet Dies to give the images a fresh, up to date look.

The images themselves were coloured with Copics. I have a mixture of Copics and Blends in my collection and although I'm no colouring expert, for the tree used a flicking stripe technique to give shading so it looks a little like the pine branches in the photo. It's the same stroke used for colouring hair 😊

I suspect this puppy must be a little over weight as it looks like he's caused the letters to be a bit crooked too 😀At least there's a few months yet for a diet before it needs to go in the post!!

Don't forget to pop on over to see all fabulous inspiration from the rest of the Just Add Ink team and I look forward to seeing what you love about this lovely Inspiration Photo challenge  this week.

  1. LOL, Jan! What a fabulous card! Your pudgy puppy is adorable, even if he is a little naughty! Your colouring is fantastic - I love the effect on the tree.
