Hello everyone and welcome to the first week of July! It is a rather surreal feeling to be in Victoria right now and be one of the few States not in a Covid lockdown. So thinking of everyone and hope you’re doing alright. We will manage to get through it and if Victoria can do it, everyone else can too! 😊
It's also the middle weekend of School Holidays here too. So if you have some extra time on your hands for whatever reason this week's challenge at Just Add Ink may be just what you need! Yes, Nikki has asked us to create a Shaker, that favourite fun and interactive element that kids and adults both adore. The design team have created a fun and gorgeous array of projects to inspire you so I hope that you can pop on over to the challenge blog as we'd love you to join us!
My card is one that came together quite quickly as I'd had all week to imagine how it might turn out. I was waiting for Aus Post to deliver some new crafty things. And they finally arrived at the end of the day my project was due. I'm not usually a huge user of DSP. But the Expression of Ink pack probably has to be (so far) my favourite of all time. The colours, the gold the artistic touches...are so much more stunning in real life so it was an easy decision to have it be the star of my card for this challenge.
Some gold sequins are the main shaker elements along with some stars punched with a border punch from silver foil and pink glimmer paper. The frame is created with Rectangle framelits. The leaves are from the coordinating dies and the Happy Birthday are from the sadly retired Well Worded Bundle which I've decided to hang onto.
Thank you for popping by today! I look forward to seeing what style and design of Shaker you choose to create for this fun challenge at Just Add Ink this week.
