Broadway Petals for JAI # 430

Happy Friday and welcome! With Daylight Savings having started last weekend it really is beginning to feel like Spring πŸ˜€

This week at Just Add Ink we have this soft and pretty floral image that Rochelle has suggested that we use in our projects this week. You can take what ever pops out at you from the image - the different flowers, colours and textures - whatever appeals to you! As always, our lovely and talented team have a fabulous array of projects to inspire you so I hope that you can take a moment to pop on over and we'd love to have you join us.

We are blessed that with SU we have so many floras to choose from and for my card I chose to make a bit of a wreath effect using Petal Palatte. I have fallen for the Broadway Birthday Wish die cut and so here it is again 😁The hand written apprearance of the script pairs beautifully with the arty flowers  from Petal Palette.

The background is painted using an Aqua Painter mixing Pool Party and a little Pacific Point and with some soft flicks of Silver Wink of Stella to add to the sparkles too. And the flowers with Watercolor Pencils.

Card stock: Flirty Flamingo, Basic Black, Whisper White, Lemon Lime Twist, Silver Glimmer
Inks: Pool Party, Lemon Lime Twist. Versamark, Old Olive, Watercolor Pencils
Stamps: Petal Palatte, Broadway Birthday
Accessories: Broadway Lights Framelights, Petals and More Framelits, Aqua Painter, White EP, Metallic Sequins Assortment.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope that you can take a moment to pop on over to Just Add Ink and see all the fabulous cards the rest of the team has made to inspire you and I look forward to seeing what you will create with this fun image too.

Happy stamping until next time,

Petals Birthday for JAI #423

Happy Friday and welcome back!  It's been a rather busy fortnight with Honey the sweet foster dog heading off to her lovely forever home and my new Companion Dog has arrived from Guide Dogs. She is a 15 month old black lab called Sally. Quite incredible  - especially the name - as her much loved predecessor was also a black Lab called Sally!! Sally (Junior) is settling in and we are looking forward to happy days ahead 😊

It's also time for a new challenge at Just Add Ink. This week we have a beautiful colour combination suggested by Kim to help kick start your projects. Our talented and lovely design team as always, have created a wonderful array of projects to inspire you so I hope you can take a moment to pop on over and we'd love you to join us.

For my card, whilst these colours could indeed be used for a masculine card, I decided to go feminine and floral. The pretty image from Petal Palette is embossed in Silver and then coloured  using an Aqua Painter and ink pads. The other elements are also all from the same Bundle. It's a bit hard to see in the photo but the grey leaves have also had a generous dose of Wink of Stella and are so sparkly in real life.

Card stock: Bermuda Bay, Soft Suede, Silver Foil, Basic Grey, Whisper White
Inks: Bermuda Bay, Basic Grey, Versamark
Stamps: Petal Palette, Sunshine Wishes
Accessories: Big Shot, Silver Embossing Powder, Metallic Sequins, Petal Framelits

Thanks for stopping by today and hope you can take a moment to pop on over to Just Add Ink and I look forward to seeing how you use this fun and pretty colour combo in your projects this week.

Of course, this post wouldn't be complete without a photo or two to welcome young Sally....here we are on meeting at Guide Dogs.

Yes, rawhide bones are what she is used to...and no, we couldn't find a bigger one πŸ˜€

Happy stamping until next time,

Painted Petals for JAI #411

Happy Friday and welcome to Winter down under or a very happy start to Summer to you if you are popping in from the Northern Hemisphere. Here in Melbourne, it has been a chilly, windy and a little damp start to Winter. We are really glad our gas central heating is back in action having gone on the blink for the last few weeks. Winter...shorter, cooler and flu and cold ridden days...yes, bring on Spring please :-)

But there are happy things happening this week too - a new Catalogue is open for orders from Stampin Up and at Just Add Ink this week we have a new sketch for you - the first ever from me (with the help of the lovely Narelle to bring it to life). The design team have created a wonderful array of cards to inspire you so I hope you can take a moment to pop on over and take a peek and join us :-)

Initially, when designing the sketch I was thinking of these leaves from Petal Palate to place above the square so a little fussy cutting later and here they are!! The delicate frame is cut from Sparkle Glimmer Paper and there is a light pink water colour wash added behind the roses.

Maybe you can see that better in this photo.

The frame and sweet roses are from the new Painted Glass Bundle, now available to order and the hugs is from the now retired Lovely Words Thinlits which I'll be keeping along with the Pink Pirouette card stock that goes so well with Melon Mambo :-)

Card stock: Whisper White (thick and standard), Pink Pirouette, Sparkle Glimmer, Gold Foil
Inks: Melon Mambo, Garden Green, Black Stazon
Stamps: Petal Palatte, Painted Glass
Accessories: Big Shot, Stained Glass Thinlits, Lovely Words Thinlits, Metallic Sequins, Aqua Painter
Non SU: Distress Watercolor Card stock (TH/ Ranger)

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope that you can take a moment to pop on over to Just Add Ink and see all the fabulous inspiration our lovely design team have created for you and I look forward to seeing what you will create with this clean and versatile sketch too.

Happy stamping until next time,

Happy Petals for JAI #410

Happy Friday everyone and welcome! It's been a grey old week weather wise but they assure us that we will see the sun return this weekend and it will be very welcome to enhance the colours of Autumn that are on show :-)

Also full of colour is our new challenge at Just Add Ink  . This week we have this fun and pretty Inspiration Photo for you suggested by Jo. You can take whatever appeals to you from the photo - whether than be the polka dot and banner themes or the mix of colours and white space. Our lovely design team as always have made a fabulous array of cards to inspire you so I hope that you can take a moment to pop on over and take a look and join us.

For my card, I drew inspiration from the colours, polka dots and celebratory feel of the photo. Starting with water colouring the floral image and background using ink pads and then I was able to add a couple more colours under the die cuts for a fun look :-)

Under the Swirly circle die is a layer of  Pool Party as well as the water colour background.

And under the sparkly Celebrate, is a sneak peek of one of the new In Colours coming in June ...Pineapple Punch - it's a bright and yes, a rather punchy yellow :-)

This was my first play with the Petal Palette set believe it or not but these lovely roses are sure to become a "go to" in the year ahead. Have you tried them yet?

Card stock: Island Indigo, Pool Party, Whisper White, Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer
Ink: Melon Mambo, Coastal Cabana (yes, it's Returning!), Island Indigo, Black Stazon
Designer Series Paper: Tutti Fruitti Stack
Stamps: Petal Palatte
Accessories: Big Shot, Swirly Scribbles Dies, Celebrate You Thinlits, Petals and More Thinlits, Iridescent Sequins, Aqua Painter

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you can take a moment to pop on over to Just Add Ink and see all the fabulous inspiration from the team and I look forward to seeing what you will create with this fun photo too!
