Oh happy day for the Paper Craft Crew

Welcome to another fabulous Wednesday - it was a crisp Autumn morning here in Melbourne but we've had a lovely sunny day and now its time for another sketch from the Paper Craft Crew - and what a fun sketch it is too!

When I saw this sketch I knew I wanted to use the Starburst Sayings stamp set for the main image instead of a heart and the rest just kind of flowed from there :-)

The card base is Calypso Coral with a little layer of Pool Party card under the Whisper White too. For the background there is a little random stamping of Gorgeous Grunge just to soften the otherwise all white background. Then everything is added on Dimensionals - from the Pool Party Chevrons to the greetings and arrows :-)

To align the Chevrons too I used the squares on my Grid Paper - makes it much easier to get the distance between them even :-) And to make the banner for the Wish Big - I simply cut it out with the Itty Bitty Banners Framelits and straightened one end!

Card stock: Calypso Coral, Pool Party, Whisper White
Ink: Calypso Coral, Pool Party
Stamps: Starburst Sayings, Peachy Keen, A Dozen Thoughts, Gorgeous Grunge
Accessories: Big Shot, Starburst Framelits, Itty Bitty Banners Framelits, Chevron Punch, On Film Framelits ( arrow), Vintage Faceted designer button, Whisper White Bakers Twine and orange sequins ( Non - SU)

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope you might have time to visit the Paper Craft Crew to see the amazing cards the designers have come up with to inspire you and maybe you might like to join in too :-)

Happy stamping until next time,

Jan

On Film Framelits - first play

Welcome everyone! Today has been a very "Melbourne" day - four seasons in one day is what Melbourne is famous for ( in more than one way!) and that was today! Pouring rain and thunder storms this morning, a cool wind in the middle of the day and now, late afternoon we have the sun shining and a mild 23 degrees :-)

So it was time to get out a couple of new stamp sets and Framelits that arrived this week and have a "first Play." I find these first cards with a stamp set later aren''t always my best but I am ok with the way this one turned out.

For the card base I used Crisp Cantaloupe card and the same for the Frame also. To make the frame I inked the die from the On Film Framelit by carefully pressing into some Crisp Cantaloupe ink before placing straight onto the card and running through the Big Shot.

The ink just highlights the embossing the framelit does as well as the cutting. I did the same with the Camera - inking with So Safron ink and and cutting with the same colour card.
The colour "splodges" and flower are all from the Happy Watercolor set and I stamped the flower a further two times and coloured with a Blender pen and some Calypso coral ink before cutting them out and laying with some dimensionals.
For the greeting I used the Four You stamp set and stamped using Baked Brown Sugar onto some Pool Party card before using my hexagon Punch to flag the ends. And of course the cute little arrows are also from the Peachy Keen stamp set that co-ordinates with the Film framelits so decided to add those as well :-)

Card stock: Crisp Cantaloupe, Pool Party, Whisper White
Inks: Crisp Cantaloupe, So Saffron, Pool Party, Baked Brown Sugar
Stamps: Peachy Keen, Four You, Happy Watercolor
Access: Big Shot. On Film Framelits, hexagon punch, Vintage Faceted button, Whisper White bakers twine, Gold Sequin trim ( individually cut)

Happy stamping until next time,

Jan
