Rev Up the Fun for the Paper Craft Crew

Welcome everyone to another warm Wednesday! 27 degrees and a little muggy in Melbourne today - there is rain in the air at last!! So just before I take Sally my loving labrador out for a walk I have a fun card to show you for the sketch at the Paper Craft Crew this week.

I always seem to be need of masculine cards so I decided to bring out my "go to" set for males at the moment : Rev Up The Fun :-)

For the base of the card I used some Coastal Cabana card stock and decided to emboss part of the front of the card with the Stripes EF before adding some of the fun Epic Day DSP. The main panel is stamped with some Gorgeous Grunge - doesn't that look like a mud splatter ?? And then stamped the bike image with black Stazon and coloured with a marker before cutting out and adding with some dimensionals.

Now for the fun bits and pieces! Unfortunatley, SU no longer sells cork sheets. However, I managed to find some at my local craft store and am so happy about that as it is so "in" right now :-) AND i found that it is thin enough to use with our Framelits so I first stamped the greeting in Black Stazon and cut it out with the Word Bubble Framelits and then I used my circle framelits for the little "tyres" under the centre panel.

The black circles are actually Basic Rhinestones that I coloured with a Sharpie marker too :-) And the arrows come from the wonderful Label Thinlit card Framelit pack and just add to the teenager flavour here.

Card stock: Coastal Cabana, Calypso Coral, Very Vanilla
Designer Series paper: Epic Day
Inks: Black Stazon, Coastal Cabana, Baked Brown Sugar, Calypso Coral
Stamps: Rev Up the Fun, Gorgeous Grunge
Accessories: Big Shot, Label Thinlit Card Framelits, Word Bubble Framelits, Circle Framelits, Stripes EF, Basic Rhinestones, Black Sharpie pen, Cork sheets

Thank you so much for stopping by today and I hope you feel inspired to check out all the great cards by the designers at the Paper Craft Crew this week and I can't wait to see what you create for this challenge!

Happy stamping until next time,

Jan

  3. I think you were right. This sketch really does make for a great masculine card. I liked all the elements and especially the cork.
