Friday has come around super quick this week and I am looking forward to having some crafting time this weekend :-)
And if you are looking for some inspiration for your crafting this weekend we have a fantastic new challenge for you at Just Add Ink. Narelle has suggested this fabulous sketch for us to use :-) The Team have created some amazing cards to inspire you this week so I hope you can take a moment to pop on over and take a peek!
Here is the sketch:
A couple of layers and lots of room for interpretation - I love it, don't you too?
Yes, I''m working my way through the images of this cute stamp set and becoming friends with my Aqua Painter along the way :-) My other best friend I'm discovering, is a paper towel to dab with if there is too much colour or water and also you can use your brush tip to add OR REMOVE water and ink :-) That last part especially, was news to me and really does make it a lot less scary knowing that if you make a little mistake you can often improve on it. So I coloured the caravan initially using Melon Mambo and Mint Macaron inks - and it looked so pretty until I went to pair it with the fun Pool Party DSP….so went back to square one and coloured again with Pool Party - I'm not sure if the roof shading is quite right?? and this will form part of a package of cards for a young Cousin with a birthday coming up soon - I hope she likes it (and there's no risk of her seeing this, phew! )

Jan
This is a fabulous card, Jan! I love that you've teamed a bit of black with the gorgeous soft watercolours. Perfect for the intended recipient; she'll love it. :)
ReplyDeleteYour colouring looks fabulous Jan! Love how you've framed your caravan with the two DSP patterns and softened the join with the loops of twine. x
ReplyDeleteFantastic card Jan! I think your colouring looks spot on and I love the mix of the DSP patterns. All round fabulous!
ReplyDeleteGreat colours Jan - they are both soft but bold. Your colouring is lovely - obviously very good friends with that Aquapainter. Chantell x x
ReplyDeleteLove your card, Jan! That black striped banner is such a bold contrast to all the softer colours you've chosen, and it's balanced everything so perfectly. Gorgeous colouring, you're obviously much better friends with your aquapainter than I am. Lol. xx
ReplyDeleteLove the card Jan! That caravan is so gorgeous & beautifully coloured. Your Watercoloring looks awesome! -Katerina
ReplyDeleteLove everything about this card Jan, you've used the sketch to perfection.
ReplyDeleteThe colours and banner layering are just divine, as is your beautifully coloured van. xx
Love this so much, Jan. It's such a fun & happy card. The sweet (& beautifully coloured) caravan looks so great with the patterned paper banners.
