Attention Shoppers Birthday for JAI #753

Happy Friday to you and it is just a few days before the official start of Winter here in Australia.
It's been a strange Autumn with devastating drought here in Victoria and fatal floods in NSW and QLD. So I hope that wherever you are, you and your family is safe and able to enjoy seeing some crafty challenges even if for whatever reason, you are not able to participate this time. Hopefully, you can join us soon.

This week at Just Add Ink we have a cute Sketch Challenge for you to use in your projects from Tristan.
As always, our design team have created a variety of ways of creating this sketch to inspire you.
We hope that you can pop on over to the Just Add Ink blog and see all the inspiration and other entries and we'd love you to join us if you are able.

For my version of this sketch, I created a Window using my Paper Cutter and raised that up and added it over the gorgeous Friends for Life DSP. Then each of the 4 birthday special images from the retiring Attention Shoppers Bundle are coloured and added over a Stitched Rectangle.

In this upright photo, you can see the difference that some Wink of Stella can make - silver sparkles show up especially well over darker colours.
The sentiment is added over some white card that has been run through with the Forever Plaid EF and black and white striped ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope that you can join us at Just Add Ink as I look forward to seeing how you will use this sketch in your crafting this week!

Lavender Sympathy for JAI #696

It's School Holidays here in Victoria - incredible that the first Term of 2024 is over already!
And for those of us in the Eastern States of Australia, Daylight Savings is set to end this weekend too. That means a sleep in on Sunday morning but it sadly is also the last goodbye to warm, light evenings and a reminder that Winter is on it's way. It has been a lovely Summer, not too hot here in Melbourne but not a lot of rain either.

This week at Just Add Ink we have this yummy Inspiration Photo Challenge, suggested by Kim, to spark your creativity. Inspiration Photos are great as you can take whatever inspires you from the photo. That may be the individual items - the cake or berries - and/or anything else! Our design team have a real variation of card styles and focal elements because of that. I hope that you will pop on over to the JAI blog and be inspired to join us!

My card is inspired by the colours - the two different purples, the white of the icing and the green of the cake stand. and also the patterns seen in the cake's icing.

These colours reminded me of the pretty Painted Lavender images and I am grateful to a lovely friend for stamping and die cutting these images especially for me to use for this challenge.
It's paired with the 3D  Lace Embossing Folder, matching ribbon, twine and a sprinkling of sequins.
Lavender is something I have a lot of in the garden and its fragrance and oils are well known for their anti allergy, antiseptic and relaxing properties. So I am hoping that this card also brings comfort to it's recipient.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope that you can pop on over to Just Add Ink as we'd love to see what inspires you to create from this photo. And I look forward to seeing what you create!

JAI #651 Friend Inspiration

It is the first week of May and here in Melbourne it feels like it might just be the middle of Winter. Time to get out all the Winter woolies and start looking at those bubbling slow cooking recipes to keep us warm.
It's also the perfect time to spend sitting in my sunny craft room! What will you be doing this weekend?

This week at Just Add Ink we have a very pretty and feminine Inspiration Photo Challenge for you suggested by Kerry. Lots of things in this pretty collage to help spark your crafting! The design team have all created beautiful cards to inspire you so I hope that you can take a moment to pop on over to the blog and take a look and join us.

I focused on the top right photo with the beautiful vase of flowers for inspiration and there are a couple of different polka dot images in amongst the pictures.
The stamp set is of course the beautiful Artistically Inked and I've used both Fresh Freesia and the returning Berry Burst for the floral colours.

Shaded Spruce contrasts for the leaves and some gold touches and white complete this card for a friend.
Many, I know will use these lovely feminine images to create for Mother's Day. But for those of us whose Mum's are no longer with us it is a lovely opportunity to give a friend or other family member something special too.
