I feel very privileged to have been part of this team of very lovely ladies since around #270. It doesn't feel that long ago yet at the same time, I am blessed with friends that feel like they have been there forever :-) The challenge this week is to use this fun and colourful Inspiration Photo suggested by Kim and we'd love you to join us!
I was inspired by the speckles on the eggs and how closely packed the eggs are to create a rainbow scene birthday card for one of my Niece's whose birthday is coming up soon. This is how it lies flat to fit in a (Australian) standard C6 envelope.
To create the rainbow, I coloured the shapes with Zig markers on water color paper and flicked water over the colour panels and dabbed with a paper towel to get the splotchy look. Then I used the new Rainbow Builder Framelits to cut them out along with the cloud layers.
Yes, it's a Twisted Easel card for something a bit special!
Behind the rainbow is a water coloured sky using ink pads and a few flicks of water and Wink of Stella. The Unicorn's mane and tail were coloured with Zigs but his body is simply Wink of Stella and it has a soft sparkle in real life.
To create the cloud on the base card, I used one of the long cloud - line dies and turned it around to go through the Big Shot a few times and enclose the greeting. A fussy cut little sparkly silver and pink unicorn from the co-ordinating Specialty DSP and this card is ready to go in the post.
